"Road House" na Amazonu, a na Netflixu "Nadnica za strah" ("Le salaire de la peur"/"The Wages Of Fear"). Remakeovi su definitivno "in" na streaming servisima. No, autorima nove "Nadnice za strah" bilo je još teže uhvatiti se u koštac sa starim filmom. Pardon, filmovima, množina.

Za razliku od Douga Limana, redatelja "Road Housea", francuski filmaš Justin Leclercq (podcijenjeni "Lukas" ili "The Bouncer" s Van Dammeom), koji stoji iza "The Wages Of Fear", morao je izaći iz sjene dva filma, izvorne "Nadnice za strah" Henri-Georgesa Clouzota iz 1953. i američkog remakea "Sorcerer" Williama Friedkina iz 1977. godine.

Clouzotova "Nadnica za strah" je teški klasik, a Friedkinov remake dostojan originala, pa čak i bolji u rekreiranju akcijsko-trilerskog intenziteta vožnje kamiona s nitroglicerinom, tj. dramskog/karakternog nihilizma i egzistencijalizma te antikapitalističke potke.

Aktualni remake u startu je suočen s nezgodnom uzbrdicom, kao Spielbergov kamion u onoj sceni "Dvoboja". Kako ponoviti režiju dvaju prethodnika? Konkretno, kako nadmašiti Friedkinovu most-scenu u filmu poznatom kao "Nadnica straha", jednu od najtenzičnijih u cjelokupnoj povijesti akcijske i triler kinematografije?

Odgovor je, pogađate, nikako. Srećom, novi "The Wages Of Fear" to i ne pokušava, odnosno Leclercq je svjestan da se s time ne može nositi i pretvara film u generički akcijski spektakl, mješavinu "Brzih i žestokih 4", "Ledene ceste" i "Hidden Strike".

Glavni glumac Franck Gastambide ("Taxi 5") izgleda kao francuski Vin Diesel, a ovo je njegov novi pokušaj da se nametne kao akcijski junak "made in France". Nakon kraće uvodne potjere upoznajemo Gastambideova lika Freda i ljubavnicu Claru (Ana Giradout; "Escobar: Pakleni raj"), potom i njegovog brata Alexa (Alban Lenoir; zadnji put viđen u akciji "AKA", također na Netflixu).

Dosta dugo vremena treba da Fred i Alex sjednu u kamion s nitroglicerinom, dobrih 40 minuta filma koji traje sat i 44. Do tog trenutka čini se kao da ne gledamo "Nadnicu za strah", već neki drugi akcić: braća pljačkaju sef, Alex završava u zatvoru, a Fred se zapošljava kao radnik na naftnoj platformi blizu izbjegličkog kampa, gdje su smješteni supruga i kćerka njegova brata.

Tada u priču ulaze predstavnici američke naftne kompanije. "Ispod plinskog džepa pronašli smo drugi veći koji se nalazi ispod sela. Ako se vatra proširi vjerujemo da će zid koji dijeli oba džepa popustiti. Jedina šansa koju imamo je ugasiti vatru i zaustaviti njezino širenje. Da bismo to učinili, moramo eksplodirati 100 kilograma nitroglicerina", govore oni.

Jasno, Fred dobija "ponudu koja se ne odbija" da sjedne za upravljač "kamiona punog eksploziva", vozi 500 milja kroz pustinjski krajolik i za 24 sata stigne na odredište. Snaga nitroglicerina dočarana je eksplozijom tvornice solarnih panela, odakle ga braća kradu i kreću na putovanje s preprekama u vidu blokade puta od strane lokalne milicije i anti-tenk mina.

Iako se u jednom momentu čini da Leclercq pokušava snimiti ekvivalent most-scene kad kamion prelazi preko jezerca, brže-bolje od toga odustaje. Ipak, režija je akcijski razmjerno kompetentna i pohvalno je da Leclercq dobar dio filma "The Wages Of Fear" snima na pravim lokacijama i nivelira računalno generirane eksplozije, ali gledatelj praktički ni u jednom trenutku ne osjeća pravu opasnost, niti se boji za likove. "Nadnica za strah" gleda se bez straha.

"Road House" na Amazonu, a na Netflixu "Nadnica za strah" ("Le salaire de la peur"/"The Wages Of Fear"). Remakeovi su definitivno "in" na streaming servisima. No, autorima nove "Nadnice za strah" bilo je još teže uhvatiti se u koštac sa starim filmom. Pardon, filmovima, množina.

Za razliku od Douga Limana, redatelja "Road Housea", francuski filmaš Justin Leclercq (podcijenjeni "Lukas" ili "The Bouncer" s Van Dammeom), koji stoji iza "The Wages Of Fear", morao je izaći iz sjene dva filma, izvorne "Nadnice za strah" Henri-Georgesa Clouzota iz 1953. i američkog remakea "Sorcerer" Williama Friedkina iz 1977. godine.

Clouzotova "Nadnica za strah" je teški klasik, a Friedkinov remake dostojan originala, pa čak i bolji u rekreiranju akcijsko-trilerskog intenziteta vožnje kamiona s nitroglicerinom, tj. dramskog/karakternog nihilizma i egzistencijalizma te antikapitalističke potke.

Aktualni remake u startu je suočen s nezgodnom uzbrdicom, kao Spielbergov kamion u onoj sceni "Dvoboja". Kako ponoviti režiju dvaju prethodnika? Konkretno, kako nadmašiti Friedkinovu most-scenu u filmu poznatom kao "Nadnica straha", jednu od najtenzičnijih u cjelokupnoj povijesti akcijske i triler kinematografije?

Odgovor je, pogađate, nikako. Srećom, novi "The Wages Of Fear" to i ne pokušava, odnosno Leclercq je svjestan da se s time ne može nositi i pretvara film u generički akcijski spektakl, mješavinu "Brzih i žestokih 4", "Ledene ceste" i "Hidden Strike".

Glavni glumac Franck Gastambide ("Taxi 5") izgleda kao francuski Vin Diesel, a ovo je njegov novi pokušaj da se nametne kao akcijski junak "made in France". Nakon kraće uvodne potjere upoznajemo Gastambideova lika Freda i ljubavnicu Claru (Ana Giradout; "Escobar: Pakleni raj"), potom i njegovog brata Alexa (Alban Lenoir; zadnji put viđen u akciji "AKA", također na Netflixu).

Dosta dugo vremena treba da Fred i Alex sjednu u kamion s nitroglicerinom, dobrih 40 minuta filma koji traje sat i 44. Do tog trenutka čini se kao da ne gledamo "Nadnicu za strah", već neki drugi akcić: braća pljačkaju sef, Alex završava u zatvoru, a Fred se zapošljava kao radnik na naftnoj platformi blizu izbjegličkog kampa, gdje su smješteni supruga i kćerka njegova brata.

Tada u priču ulaze predstavnici američke naftne kompanije. "Ispod plinskog džepa pronašli smo drugi veći koji se nalazi ispod sela. Ako se vatra proširi vjerujemo da će zid koji dijeli oba džepa popustiti. Jedina šansa koju imamo je ugasiti vatru i zaustaviti njezino širenje. Da bismo to učinili, moramo eksplodirati 100 kilograma nitroglicerina", govore oni.

Jasno, Fred dobija "ponudu koja se ne odbija" da sjedne za upravljač "kamiona punog eksploziva", vozi 500 milja kroz pustinjski krajolik i za 24 sata stigne na odredište. Snaga nitroglicerina dočarana je eksplozijom tvornice solarnih panela, odakle ga braća kradu i kreću na putovanje s preprekama u vidu blokade puta od strane lokalne milicije i anti-tenk mina.

Iako se u jednom momentu čini da Leclercq pokušava snimiti ekvivalent most-scene kad kamion prelazi preko jezerca, brže-bolje od toga odustaje. Ipak, režija je akcijski razmjerno kompetentna i pohvalno je da Leclercq dobar dio filma "The Wages Of Fear" snima na pravim lokacijama i nivelira računalno generirane eksplozije, ali gledatelj praktički ni u jednom trenutku ne osjeća pravu opasnost, niti se boji za likove. "Nadnica za strah" gleda se bez straha.
