Ako je itko debelo profitirao od nastupa na splitskom i zagrebačkom festivalu - a ovaj potonji se pokazao kao možda najvažnija oskočna daska za domaće pop snage - tada je to Mia. “Život nije siv“ - vrckavo optimističan indie-country broj neupitnog šarma - koji ju je sa splitskofestivalske pozornice doveo i do one porinovske, dao je naravno i ime albumu.

Nimalo slučajno jer nije to samo udarna tema i komercijalni mamac za kupce albuma već i pravo “pismo o namjerama“. Što, recimo, pokazuju i “Nije važno“ kao besprijekorna country-indie pop stilizacija s pedal-steel gitarom (nezaobilaznog Davora Rodika), cashovska “boom-chaka-boom“ tema “Bezimeni“ (s odličnim gitarskim učinkom Nenada Dujmića) ili pak južnjačkim “spleenom“ (ali i električnim klavirom i hammondom) natopljena laganica “Sanjaj me“ (sa Zagrebfesta) koja brodi trasom Norah Jones te vrckava “Do posljednjeg retka“ s doimantnim ukuleleom.

“Svjetionik“ je možda najambiciozniji broj albuma bez ijedne slabe točke: sjajna atmosferska laganica s Gelovom gitarom i odličnim gudačima koji samo naglašavaju kristalno čist i mladenački svjež vokal. “Kiša“ - još jedan autorski broj Miae - je u istoj atmosferskoj sumaglici i odličnim refrenom koji se, podebljan pozadinskim vokalima i fender rhodesom, ukazuje kao sunčane zrake u oblačnom danu...

“Slobodna“ unosi mrvu gypsy-swing gitarskih stilizacija prije nego li tema krene kao countryjem nadahnut rasni pop broj. Zaključna Miaina autorska “Pieces of the Puzzle“, savršena je balada dostojna jedne Carol King ili Carly Simon kad bi pjevale glasom Emmylou Harris. Sa sjajnim aranžmanom kad se akustičnoj gitari i klaviru priključe gudači. Izvrsna završnica vraški dobrog debitantskog albuma koji je bespogovorno premostio jaz izmeđi indie-kantautorstva i pametnog pop mainstreama.

Ako je itko debelo profitirao od nastupa na splitskom i zagrebačkom festivalu - a ovaj potonji se pokazao kao možda najvažnija oskočna daska za domaće pop snage - tada je to Mia. “Život nije siv“ - vrckavo optimističan indie-country broj neupitnog šarma - koji ju je sa splitskofestivalske pozornice doveo i do one porinovske, dao je naravno i ime albumu.

Nimalo slučajno jer nije to samo udarna tema i komercijalni mamac za kupce albuma već i pravo “pismo o namjerama“. Što, recimo, pokazuju i “Nije važno“ kao besprijekorna country-indie pop stilizacija s pedal-steel gitarom (nezaobilaznog Davora Rodika), cashovska “boom-chaka-boom“ tema “Bezimeni“ (s odličnim gitarskim učinkom Nenada Dujmića) ili pak južnjačkim “spleenom“ (ali i električnim klavirom i hammondom) natopljena laganica “Sanjaj me“ (sa Zagrebfesta) koja brodi trasom Norah Jones te vrckava “Do posljednjeg retka“ s doimantnim ukuleleom.

“Svjetionik“ je možda najambiciozniji broj albuma bez ijedne slabe točke: sjajna atmosferska laganica s Gelovom gitarom i odličnim gudačima koji samo naglašavaju kristalno čist i mladenački svjež vokal. “Kiša“ - još jedan autorski broj Miae - je u istoj atmosferskoj sumaglici i odličnim refrenom koji se, podebljan pozadinskim vokalima i fender rhodesom, ukazuje kao sunčane zrake u oblačnom danu...

“Slobodna“ unosi mrvu gypsy-swing gitarskih stilizacija prije nego li tema krene kao countryjem nadahnut rasni pop broj. Zaključna Miaina autorska “Pieces of the Puzzle“, savršena je balada dostojna jedne Carol King ili Carly Simon kad bi pjevale glasom Emmylou Harris. Sa sjajnim aranžmanom kad se akustičnoj gitari i klaviru priključe gudači. Izvrsna završnica vraški dobrog debitantskog albuma koji je bespogovorno premostio jaz izmeđi indie-kantautorstva i pametnog pop mainstreama.
