Skupina stranaca je došla na Lastovo i iako su na velikim bunkerima postavljena velika vrata i ograda, što bi značilo da nije slobodan ulazak u bivše vojne podzemne bunkere, oni su preskočili ogradu i dali se u istraživanje. Nepristojno, posebno ako se nalazite u tuđoj zemlji.

Inače, nakon drugog svjetskog rata Lastovo je doživjelo istu sudbinu kao i obližnji otok Vis – postalo je otok rezerviran za vojsku. Stoga je pristup Lastovu bio zabranjen stranim državljanima.

To je, dakako, dovelo do ekonomske stagnacije i depopulacije otoka. No, istovremeno, to je omogućilo očuvanje lastovske prirode u onom primarnom obliku. 1988. godine zabrana je bila ublažena te je stranim državljanima omogućen dolazak na Lastovo što je bio početak razvitka turizma, navodi TZ tog otoka.

Nakon što je Hrvatska 1991. proglasila samostalnost, pripadnici Jugoslavenske narodne armije (JNA) su na Lastovu ostali sve do 30. svibnja 1992. do 03:30 sati – kada su napustili vojne baze na Lastovu.

Nakon što je Hrvatska 1991. proglasila samostalnost, pripadnici Jugoslavenske narodne armije (JNA) su na Lastovu ostali sve do 30. svibnja 1992. do 03:30 sati – kada su napustili vojne baze na Lastovu.
