Shona Owen vjerovatno ima jednu od najunikatnijih putovnica na svijetu, budući da joj pod mjestom rođenja umjesto Bournemoutha, Basildona i Birkenheada, piše da je rođena u avionu 16 km južno od Mayfielda. Owen sada ima 26 godina i spada u samo nekoliko ljudi na planeti i u povijesti koji su rođeni u avionu. Kao uspomenu na specifične okolnosti u toku rođenja, roditelji su joj dali ime Shona Kirsty Yves (inicijali SKY; nebo).

Do njenog rođenja u avionu je došlo 1991. godine kad je Deborah Owen, koja se vraćala u Veliku Britaniju s posla u Gani, rodila šest tjedana prije termina. Nizozemski liječnik Wim Bakker je također bio u ovom avionu pa je asistirao u porodu, zajedno sa ekipom iz kabine. 

'Kapetan je potom objavio da imamo novog putnika u avionu. Svi su aplaudirali i služio se šampanjac. Pola sata kasnije smo sletjeli na aerodrom u Gatwicku', ispričala je Deborah za Guardian 2014. godine. 

Iako do ovakvih neobičnih porođaja dolazi veoma rijetko, Shona nije ni prva, a ni posljednja beba koja se rodila u avionu. Prije par godina svijet je obišla vijest da se Nafi Diaby, koja je letjela iz Gvineje do Burkine Faso, porodila u avionu, a djevojčica se rodila na 12 km visine uz asistenciju putnika i posade iz kabine.

'Većina avio-kompanija neće dozvoliti trudnicama da lete nakon 36. tjedna trudnoće ili čak nakon 32, ukoliko buduća mama očekuje blizance ili više beba', napominje se u vodiču Servisa za nacionalno zdravlje. Na primjer, iz avio-kompanije Ryanair očekuju izvještaj liječnika da trudnica može letjeti nakon 28. tjedna trudnoće.

Jedan od razloga zašto je Deborah Owen letjela kući trudna jest zbog toga što je željela roditi u Velikoj Britaniji pa da njena beba ima britansko državljanstvo; budući da ga ima i ona . Ali što je s onim bebama koje se rode u predjelu međunarodnih voda ili iznad zemlje koja nema nikakve veze s majkom? 'Postoji nekoliko različitih faktora koji se uzimaju u obzir kada se dijete rodi u toku avionskog leta', kaže socijalni radnik iz Odsjeka za vizu i imigraciju u Velikoj Britaniji.

'Prije svega, ako se leti iz zemlje koja je potpisala sporazum o Smanjenju broja lica bez državljanstva, onda će dijete dobiti državljanstvo zemlje u kojoj je avion registriran. Ukoliko zemlja nije dio tog sporazuma, onda će lokacija aviona u međunarodnom zrakoplovnom prostoru odrediti bebino državljanstvo. Na primjer, ukoliko se dijete rodi iznad zrakoplovnog prostora SAD-a, biće Amerikanac. Ukoliko ta zemlja ne dozvoljava da dijete dobije njihovo državljanstvo, ona će usvojiti državljanstvo majke ili oca', poručuju iz Odsjeka. Ista ova pravila važe i za bebe rođene na kruzerima.

Bez obzira na državljanstvo, nekad se smatralo da će sve bebe rođene u avionu dobiti besplatne avio karte do kraja života. Ipak, stvari ne stoje baš tako. Shona Owen je na primjer dobila dvije povratne avio karte za bilo koju destinaciju u svijetu za svoj 18. rođendan, a iz Virgin Atlantica su bebi Virginiji (koja se rodila u avionu ove avio-kompanije) poklonili besplatne avio karte do 21. godine. 

Izgleda da je najbolje prošla beba koja se prošle godine rodila u avionu kompanije Buraq Air, a koja je nagrađena doživotnim besplatnim kartama preko njihove kompanije.

Shona Owen vjerovatno ima jednu od najunikatnijih putovnica na svijetu, budući da joj pod mjestom rođenja umjesto Bournemoutha, Basildona i Birkenheada, piše da je rođena u avionu 16 km južno od Mayfielda. Owen sada ima 26 godina i spada u samo nekoliko ljudi na planeti i u povijesti koji su rođeni u avionu. Kao uspomenu na specifične okolnosti u toku rođenja, roditelji su joj dali ime Shona Kirsty Yves (inicijali SKY; nebo).

Do njenog rođenja u avionu je došlo 1991. godine kad je Deborah Owen, koja se vraćala u Veliku Britaniju s posla u Gani, rodila šest tjedana prije termina. Nizozemski liječnik Wim Bakker je također bio u ovom avionu pa je asistirao u porodu, zajedno sa ekipom iz kabine. 

'Kapetan je potom objavio da imamo novog putnika u avionu. Svi su aplaudirali i služio se šampanjac. Pola sata kasnije smo sletjeli na aerodrom u Gatwicku', ispričala je Deborah za Guardian 2014. godine. 

Iako do ovakvih neobičnih porođaja dolazi veoma rijetko, Shona nije ni prva, a ni posljednja beba koja se rodila u avionu. Prije par godina svijet je obišla vijest da se Nafi Diaby, koja je letjela iz Gvineje do Burkine Faso, porodila u avionu, a djevojčica se rodila na 12 km visine uz asistenciju putnika i posade iz kabine.

Jedan od razloga zašto je Deborah Owen letjela kući trudna jest zbog toga što je željela roditi u Velikoj Britaniji pa da njena beba ima britansko državljanstvo; budući da ga ima i ona . Ali što je s onim bebama koje se rode u predjelu međunarodnih voda ili iznad zemlje koja nema nikakve veze s majkom? 'Postoji nekoliko različitih faktora koji se uzimaju u obzir kada se dijete rodi u toku avionskog leta', kaže socijalni radnik iz Odsjeka za vizu i imigraciju u Velikoj Britaniji.

'Prije svega, ako se leti iz zemlje koja je potpisala sporazum o Smanjenju broja lica bez državljanstva, onda će dijete dobiti državljanstvo zemlje u kojoj je avion registriran. Ukoliko zemlja nije dio tog sporazuma, onda će lokacija aviona u međunarodnom zrakoplovnom prostoru odrediti bebino državljanstvo. Na primjer, ukoliko se dijete rodi iznad zrakoplovnog prostora SAD-a, biće Amerikanac. Ukoliko ta zemlja ne dozvoljava da dijete dobije njihovo državljanstvo, ona će usvojiti državljanstvo majke ili oca', poručuju iz Odsjeka. Ista ova pravila važe i za bebe rođene na kruzerima.

Bez obzira na državljanstvo, nekad se smatralo da će sve bebe rođene u avionu dobiti besplatne avio karte do kraja života. Ipak, stvari ne stoje baš tako. Shona Owen je na primjer dobila dvije povratne avio karte za bilo koju destinaciju u svijetu za svoj 18. rođendan, a iz Virgin Atlantica su bebi Virginiji (koja se rodila u avionu ove avio-kompanije) poklonili besplatne avio karte do 21. godine. 

Izgleda da je najbolje prošla beba koja se prošle godine rodila u avionu kompanije Buraq Air, a koja je nagrađena doživotnim besplatnim kartama preko njihove kompanije.

Shona Owen vjerovatno ima jednu od najunikatnijih putovnica na svijetu, budući da joj pod mjestom rođenja umjesto Bournemoutha, Basildona i Birkenheada, piše da je rođena u avionu 16 km južno od Mayfielda. Owen sada ima 26 godina i spada u samo nekoliko ljudi na planeti i u povijesti koji su rođeni u avionu. Kao uspomenu na specifične okolnosti u toku rođenja, roditelji su joj dali ime Shona Kirsty Yves (inicijali SKY; nebo).

Do njenog rođenja u avionu je došlo 1991. godine kad je Deborah Owen, koja se vraćala u Veliku Britaniju s posla u Gani, rodila šest tjedana prije termina. Nizozemski liječnik Wim Bakker je također bio u ovom avionu pa je asistirao u porodu, zajedno sa ekipom iz kabine. 

'Kapetan je potom objavio da imamo novog putnika u avionu. Svi su aplaudirali i služio se šampanjac. Pola sata kasnije smo sletjeli na aerodrom u Gatwicku', ispričala je Deborah za Guardian 2014. godine. 

Iako do ovakvih neobičnih porođaja dolazi veoma rijetko, Shona nije ni prva, a ni posljednja beba koja se rodila u avionu. Prije par godina svijet je obišla vijest da se Nafi Diaby, koja je letjela iz Gvineje do Burkine Faso, porodila u avionu, a djevojčica se rodila na 12 km visine uz asistenciju putnika i posade iz kabine.
