Ivica Skelin u Nizozemskoj je osvojio nekoliko trofeja, dvaput je bio proglašen i najboljim trenerom te države, ali nema sumnje kako bi mu kao domaćem čovjeku titula s njegovim Splitom bila najdraža u karijeri.

- Svi mi koji smo se ovdje rodili i počeli karijeru u ovom klubu nismo sanjali voditi Barcelonu ili Real, nego Split. Proteklih godina nažalost nismo bili u situaciji osvajati trofeje tako da bi mi ovaj Kup jako puno značio – rekao je trener košarkaša Splita uoči današnjeg omiškog finala sa Zadrom.

Skelin je podvukao četiri ključne stvari za pobjedu „žutih”.

- Zaustavljanje tranzicije, zaustavljanje Onuakua, kontrola skoka i dobra obrana „picka”. Ne smijemo dozvoliti da se Mavra, Carter i Junaković razmašu i počnu dijeliti lopte.

U mnogim od tih segmenata igre Split nije odgovorio na pravi način u prošlotjednom porazu od Zadra na Gripama u ABA Ligi.

- Slabo smo branili blokove, dozvolili im dosta poena iz tranzicije, a Onuaku nam je uzeo mnogo lopti. Jako je važno pitanje baš Onuakua. Vidjeli smo u meču s Cibonom da ga je Planinić „otupio” i omogućio svojoj momčadi da bude u utakmici.

Skelin je priznao da njegova momčad još nije uigrana kako treba.

- To je i normalno jer nas od početka sezone prate ozljede. Prvo Đoković, pa onda dođe Ukić, pa Marić, pa se ozlijedi Mesiček, pa je došao Babić koji je do sada odradio svega šest treninga s nama. Zbog svih tih promjena nismo napredovali koliko smo očekivali.

Tko je favorit?

- Teško je reći. U sezoni smo na omjeru 2-2 s njima. Ovisit će trenutna inspiracija, ali i energija igrača koji još nisu osvojili trofej – smatra Skelin.

Dolaskom u Zadar, Veljko Mršić je jako dobro znao što ga sve očekuje, svjestan kako će se od njega tražiti trofeji, jednako kao u slučaju svih ranijih prethodnika.

- Ovo je prvo finale ove sezone, pripreme prije početka sezone su bile takve da nije bilo nikakvih turnira ni finala, jedino neke pripremne utakmice. Ali, finale Kupa je jedna utakmica, puno ekipa koje nisu favoriti na papiru znaju iznenaditi. Ovdje pak nitko od ove dvije momčadi nije izraziti favorit – krenuo je Mršić u kratku priču o Kupu Krešimira Ćosića.

Kroz sezonu, ne računajući dvije pripremne utakmice, omjer dvaju suparnika je dva prema dvama, praktički, domaći parket ni jednima ni drugima nije značio previše. 

Omiš je pak neutralan teren, međutim, momčadi se toliko dobro poznaju pa je posve nepotrebno razmišljati o nekakvim taktičkim postavkama koje već nismo vidjeli.

- Važno je da budemo stabilni i koncentrirani, mislim da na to treba najviše raditi na toj psihološkoj pripremi kako bi izašli na parket gladni pobjede i trofeja. Pritom moramo biti smireni i znati kako se utakmica neće odlučiti u prvoj ili  desetoj minuti niti ni u 35. minuti. Treba igrati do kraja istim intezitetom, poluzavršnica s Cibonom nam je najbolje škola – zaključio je Mršić.

Ivica Skelin u Nizozemskoj je osvojio nekoliko trofeja, dvaput je bio proglašen i najboljim trenerom te države, ali nema sumnje kako bi mu kao domaćem čovjeku titula s njegovim Splitom bila najdraža u karijeri.

- Svi mi koji smo se ovdje rodili i počeli karijeru u ovom klubu nismo sanjali voditi Barcelonu ili Real, nego Split. Proteklih godina nažalost nismo bili u situaciji osvajati trofeje tako da bi mi ovaj Kup jako puno značio – rekao je trener košarkaša Splita uoči današnjeg omiškog finala sa Zadrom.

Skelin je podvukao četiri ključne stvari za pobjedu „žutih”.

- Zaustavljanje tranzicije, zaustavljanje Onuakua, kontrola skoka i dobra obrana „picka”. Ne smijemo dozvoliti da se Mavra, Carter i Junaković razmašu i počnu dijeliti lopte.

U mnogim od tih segmenata igre Split nije odgovorio na pravi način u prošlotjednom porazu od Zadra na Gripama u ABA Ligi.

- Slabo smo branili blokove, dozvolili im dosta poena iz tranzicije, a Onuaku nam je uzeo mnogo lopti. Jako je važno pitanje baš Onuakua. Vidjeli smo u meču s Cibonom da ga je Planinić „otupio” i omogućio svojoj momčadi da bude u utakmici.

Skelin je priznao da njegova momčad još nije uigrana kako treba.

- To je i normalno jer nas od početka sezone prate ozljede. Prvo Đoković, pa onda dođe Ukić, pa Marić, pa se ozlijedi Mesiček, pa je došao Babić koji je do sada odradio svega šest treninga s nama. Zbog svih tih promjena nismo napredovali koliko smo očekivali.

Tko je favorit?

- Teško je reći. U sezoni smo na omjeru 2-2 s njima. Ovisit će trenutna inspiracija, ali i energija igrača koji još nisu osvojili trofej – smatra Skelin.

Dolaskom u Zadar, Veljko Mršić je jako dobro znao što ga sve očekuje, svjestan kako će se od njega tražiti trofeji, jednako kao u slučaju svih ranijih prethodnika.

- Ovo je prvo finale ove sezone, pripreme prije početka sezone su bile takve da nije bilo nikakvih turnira ni finala, jedino neke pripremne utakmice. Ali, finale Kupa je jedna utakmica, puno ekipa koje nisu favoriti na papiru znaju iznenaditi. Ovdje pak nitko od ove dvije momčadi nije izraziti favorit – krenuo je Mršić u kratku priču o Kupu Krešimira Ćosića.

Kroz sezonu, ne računajući dvije pripremne utakmice, omjer dvaju suparnika je dva prema dvama, praktički, domaći parket ni jednima ni drugima nije značio previše. 

Omiš je pak neutralan teren, međutim, momčadi se toliko dobro poznaju pa je posve nepotrebno razmišljati o nekakvim taktičkim postavkama koje već nismo vidjeli.

- Važno je da budemo stabilni i koncentrirani, mislim da na to treba najviše raditi na toj psihološkoj pripremi kako bi izašli na parket gladni pobjede i trofeja. Pritom moramo biti smireni i znati kako se utakmica neće odlučiti u prvoj ili  desetoj minuti niti ni u 35. minuti. Treba igrati do kraja istim intezitetom, poluzavršnica s Cibonom nam je najbolje škola – zaključio je Mršić.

Ivica Skelin u Nizozemskoj je osvojio nekoliko trofeja, dvaput je bio proglašen i najboljim trenerom te države, ali nema sumnje kako bi mu kao domaćem čovjeku titula s njegovim Splitom bila najdraža u karijeri.

- Svi mi koji smo se ovdje rodili i počeli karijeru u ovom klubu nismo sanjali voditi Barcelonu ili Real, nego Split. Proteklih godina nažalost nismo bili u situaciji osvajati trofeje tako da bi mi ovaj Kup jako puno značio – rekao je trener košarkaša Splita uoči današnjeg omiškog finala sa Zadrom.

Skelin je podvukao četiri ključne stvari za pobjedu „žutih”.

- Zaustavljanje tranzicije, zaustavljanje Onuakua, kontrola skoka i dobra obrana „picka”. Ne smijemo dozvoliti da se Mavra, Carter i Junaković razmašu i počnu dijeliti lopte.

U mnogim od tih segmenata igre Split nije odgovorio na pravi način u prošlotjednom porazu od Zadra na Gripama u ABA Ligi.

- Slabo smo branili blokove, dozvolili im dosta poena iz tranzicije, a Onuaku nam je uzeo mnogo lopti. Jako je važno pitanje baš Onuakua. Vidjeli smo u meču s Cibonom da ga je Planinić „otupio” i omogućio svojoj momčadi da bude u utakmici.

Skelin je priznao da njegova momčad još nije uigrana kako treba.

- To je i normalno jer nas od početka sezone prate ozljede. Prvo Đoković, pa onda dođe Ukić, pa Marić, pa se ozlijedi Mesiček, pa je došao Babić koji je do sada odradio svega šest treninga s nama. Zbog svih tih promjena nismo napredovali koliko smo očekivali.

Tko je favorit?

- Teško je reći. U sezoni smo na omjeru 2-2 s njima. Ovisit će trenutna inspiracija, ali i energija igrača koji još nisu osvojili trofej – smatra Skelin.

Dolaskom u Zadar, Veljko Mršić je jako dobro znao što ga sve očekuje, svjestan kako će se od njega tražiti trofeji, jednako kao u slučaju svih ranijih prethodnika.

- Ovo je prvo finale ove sezone, pripreme prije početka sezone su bile takve da nije bilo nikakvih turnira ni finala, jedino neke pripremne utakmice. Ali, finale Kupa je jedna utakmica, puno ekipa koje nisu favoriti na papiru znaju iznenaditi. Ovdje pak nitko od ove dvije momčadi nije izraziti favorit – krenuo je Mršić u kratku priču o Kupu Krešimira Ćosića.
