Na Uskrsni ponedjeljak, 18. travnja 2022. godine nakon dvije godine pauze u župi Našašća svetoga Križa u Vodicama, u crkvi Gospe od Karmela na brdu Okit održati će
"Vodički festival žudija". Posljednji festival je održan u Oklaju 2019. godine. Prema ranije utvrđeno rasporedu bilo je planirano da se festival održi u neretvanskoj župi Slivno Ravno, ali to nije bilo moguće zbog donedavnih epidemioloških mjera. Organizatori su odlučili da se žudije čuvari Kristova groba okupe kao nekada na samim počecima u Vodicama te se očekuje dolazak predstavnika 30 župa iz Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine.
Žudije župe Svetog Ilije iz Metkovića, koje su najstarije u Dalmaciji, nezadovoljni su organizacijom i nazivom "Vodički festival žudija" te su se javnosti obratili otvorenim pismom.
Tradicija žudija u Hrvatskoj najprije je dokumentirana u Metkoviću sredinom 19. stoljeća, kada ju je tamo donio Ante Gluščević iz talijanskog grada Loreta, a potom se proširila po cijeloj dolini Neretve, da bi se naposljetku proširila na veliki dio Dalmacije. Najstarije žudije su iz 1857. godine iz župe svetog Ilije u Metkoviću, što ih čini najstarijom vrstom takve udruge.Ove godine proslavljaju 165 godina o postojanja. Ovaj tradicionalni običaj danas je raširen po cijeloj Dalmaciji, a s vremenom svaka je župa iznjedrila svoje običaje tako da se danas ti običaji međusobno razlikuju po svojim specifičnostima-podsjećaju žudije iz Metkovića u pismu koje potpisuju "stare" žudije Vinko Vuković Liska i Jurica Puljević Mamba.
Žudije čine 12 stražara predvođenih zapovjednikom tzv. "judom" kao trinaestim članom. Najčešće su odjeveni u odore rimskih vojnika, a negdje i u odore mornara ili u narodne nošnje.
Uprizorenje počinje na Veliki četvrtak kada žudije izlaze pred oltar, gdje stražare izmjenjujući se po četvorica sve do Vazmenog bdijenja u ponoć s Velike subote na Uskrs, kada prilikom Isusovog uskrsnuća oni popadaju, tresući se od straha-pojašnjavaju

Od 2001.godine pa do danas u Hrvatskoj se organizira smotra žudija prvo pod nazivom "Smotru žudija Dalmacije", a potom"Smotra vodičkih žudija" te sada "Vodički festival žudija".
Povodom toga javljamo se iz župe "Sv.Ilije" kao bivši višegodišnji čuvari Isusova groba (žudije) jer nam nije jasno zašto se festival žudija zove "vodičke žudije" kada znamo da ta tradicija nije započela u Vodicama niti su vodičke žudije među starijim žudijama u Hrvatskoj.
Mi odavno ne sudjelujemo na tim smotrama upravo zbog tog razloga. Sugerirali i razgovarali smo s organizatorima da se ta tradicija ne može zvati pod nazivom "vodičke žudije", ali gospoda su se oglušila. Sve smo to naveli u gornjem dijelu teksta. Nismo protiv održavanja smotre, ali nije u redu da se ova tradicija prisvaja-upozoravaju iz Metkovića.
Vodičkim žudijama je izgleda samo u interesu da kroz žudije promoviraju sebe i Vodice kao turističku destinaciju jer kako nazvati paradiranje žudija za vrijeme turističke sezone u srpnju i kolovozu mjesecu.
Zna se kada je vrijeme žudija i Velikog tjedna-rezolutni su u Metkoviću

Na Uskrsni ponedjeljak, 18. travnja 2022. godine nakon dvije godine pauze u župi Našašća svetoga Križa u Vodicama, u crkvi Gospe od Karmela na brdu Okit održati će
"Vodički festival žudija". Posljednji festival je održan u Oklaju 2019. godine. Prema ranije utvrđeno rasporedu bilo je planirano da se festival održi u neretvanskoj župi Slivno Ravno, ali to nije bilo moguće zbog donedavnih epidemioloških mjera. Organizatori su odlučili da se žudije čuvari Kristova groba okupe kao nekada na samim počecima u Vodicama te se očekuje dolazak predstavnika 30 župa iz Hrvatske i Bosne i Hercegovine.
Žudije župe Svetog Ilije iz Metkovića, koje su najstarije u Dalmaciji, nezadovoljni su organizacijom i nazivom "Vodički festival žudija" te su se javnosti obratili otvorenim pismom.
Tradicija žudija u Hrvatskoj najprije je dokumentirana u Metkoviću sredinom 19. stoljeća, kada ju je tamo donio Ante Gluščević iz talijanskog grada Loreta, a potom se proširila po cijeloj dolini Neretve, da bi se naposljetku proširila na veliki dio Dalmacije. Najstarije žudije su iz 1857. godine iz župe svetog Ilije u Metkoviću, što ih čini najstarijom vrstom takve udruge.Ove godine proslavljaju 165 godina o postojanja. Ovaj tradicionalni običaj danas je raširen po cijeloj Dalmaciji, a s vremenom svaka je župa iznjedrila svoje običaje tako da se danas ti običaji međusobno razlikuju po svojim specifičnostima-podsjećaju žudije iz Metkovića u pismu koje potpisuju "stare" žudije Vinko Vuković Liska i Jurica Puljević Mamba.
Žudije čine 12 stražara predvođenih zapovjednikom tzv. "judom" kao trinaestim članom. Najčešće su odjeveni u odore rimskih vojnika, a negdje i u odore mornara ili u narodne nošnje.
Uprizorenje počinje na Veliki četvrtak kada žudije izlaze pred oltar, gdje stražare izmjenjujući se po četvorica sve do Vazmenog bdijenja u ponoć s Velike subote na Uskrs, kada prilikom Isusovog uskrsnuća oni popadaju, tresući se od straha-pojašnjavaju

Od 2001.godine pa do danas u Hrvatskoj se organizira smotra žudija prvo pod nazivom "Smotru žudija Dalmacije", a potom"Smotra vodičkih žudija" te sada "Vodički festival žudija".
Povodom toga javljamo se iz župe "Sv.Ilije" kao bivši višegodišnji čuvari Isusova groba (žudije) jer nam nije jasno zašto se festival žudija zove "vodičke žudije" kada znamo da ta tradicija nije započela u Vodicama niti su vodičke žudije među starijim žudijama u Hrvatskoj.
Mi odavno ne sudjelujemo na tim smotrama upravo zbog tog razloga. Sugerirali i razgovarali smo s organizatorima da se ta tradicija ne može zvati pod nazivom "vodičke žudije", ali gospoda su se oglušila. Sve smo to naveli u gornjem dijelu teksta. Nismo protiv održavanja smotre, ali nije u redu da se ova tradicija prisvaja-upozoravaju iz Metkovića.
Vodičkim žudijama je izgleda samo u interesu da kroz žudije promoviraju sebe i Vodice kao turističku destinaciju jer kako nazvati paradiranje žudija za vrijeme turističke sezone u srpnju i kolovozu mjesecu.
Zna se kada je vrijeme žudija i Velikog tjedna-rezolutni su u Metkoviću
