Osim nogometa,  poslovni interesi Željka Karajice, većinskog vlasnika HNK Šibenika, vezani su i za američki nogomet. Karajica je vlasnik licence i izvršni direktor američkog nogometa za Europu (ELF), vlasnik je Hamburg Devilsa koji se natječe u toj ligi.

Nedavno ste izazvali silne reakcije najavom odigravanja jedne utakmice ELF-a u Hrvatskoj, u Šibeniku na Šubićevcu. Najavili ste tada da se krajem kolovoza na utakmici Hamburg Sea Devilsa i Madrid Bravosa očekuje čak do 10 tisuća gledatelja! Kako teku pripreme za taj spektakl, i kako se došli do ideje da baš Šibenik bude domaćin tog nesumnjivo velikog sportskog događaja za grad, ali i Hrvatsku?

- Uvijek kada u nešto krećete treba imati ideju. Tako sam i ja imao kada sam ulazio u cijelu tu priču s američkim nogometom. Mnogi ljudi iz sporta, čak i poznati novinari koji prate sport u Njemačkoj su me pitali što će ti to, zar je baš tebe dopalo da 70 godina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata dovedeš američki nogomet na tlo Europe, i slično.

Prije tri godine je to bilo nezamislivo, ali sada imamo jaku ligu, u kojoj igraju klubovi iz velikih europskih gradova, stadioni su puni, medijska pažnja, ugovori…

Prije 25-30 godina nitko nije znao za mobitel, do prije 15 godina za Instagram, ali to je sada dio naše svakodnevice. Pa, i sada za ovaj događaj u Šibeniku bi 99 od 100 ljudi reklo da utakmica američkog nogometa nikoga neće zanimati. Reći ću vam da smo već do sada prodali on line skoro tisuću ulaznica, a gdje još kraj kolovoza.

Usporedbe radi, lani smo za utakmice s Dinamom i Hajdukom u 1.HNL prodali gotovo nula karata on line prodajom. Nije to samo događaj za Šibenik, već za cijelu Dalmaciju, znam da će i puno ljudi iz Zagreba doći na tu utakmicu.

Infrastruktura nije problem, mi smo spremni preurediti Šubićevac za takav spektakl, koji ne obuhvaća samo utakmicu. To je čitav event, popratni sadržaji, fan zone, koncerti.

Ne sumnjamo da će biti 4- 5 tisuća navijača, ako bude interesa i za još toliko, ja bih bio najsretniji čovjek. Montirat ćemo dodatne tribine, sve će biti tip top, tv signal ide u 20 zemalja diljem Europe i SAD-a.

Ako vidimo da je to palo na plodno tlo, idemo dalje. Ja vjerujem u taj projekt, koji je zaživio u Njemačkoj. NFL je došao u Englesku, u Njemačku, a na ovim našim prostorima, pritom ne mislim samo na Hrvatsku već na čitav ovaj prostor regije, ima puno potencijala za taj sport.

U našoj ELF ligi već sada ima 30-40 igrača s ovih prostora, i to je potencijalna baza da krenemo dalje s nekim projektima, za koji imamo ideju, ali i interes- kazao je Karajica.

Osim nogometa,  poslovni interesi Željka Karajice, većinskog vlasnika HNK Šibenika, vezani su i za američki nogomet. Karajica je vlasnik licence i izvršni direktor američkog nogometa za Europu (ELF), vlasnik je Hamburg Devilsa koji se natječe u toj ligi.

Nedavno ste izazvali silne reakcije najavom odigravanja jedne utakmice ELF-a u Hrvatskoj, u Šibeniku na Šubićevcu. Najavili ste tada da se krajem kolovoza na utakmici Hamburg Sea Devilsa i Madrid Bravosa očekuje čak do 10 tisuća gledatelja! Kako teku pripreme za taj spektakl, i kako se došli do ideje da baš Šibenik bude domaćin tog nesumnjivo velikog sportskog događaja za grad, ali i Hrvatsku?

- Uvijek kada u nešto krećete treba imati ideju. Tako sam i ja imao kada sam ulazio u cijelu tu priču s američkim nogometom. Mnogi ljudi iz sporta, čak i poznati novinari koji prate sport u Njemačkoj su me pitali što će ti to, zar je baš tebe dopalo da 70 godina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata dovedeš američki nogomet na tlo Europe, i slično.

Prije tri godine je to bilo nezamislivo, ali sada imamo jaku ligu, u kojoj igraju klubovi iz velikih europskih gradova, stadioni su puni, medijska pažnja, ugovori…

Prije 25-30 godina nitko nije znao za mobitel, do prije 15 godina za Instagram, ali to je sada dio naše svakodnevice. Pa, i sada za ovaj događaj u Šibeniku bi 99 od 100 ljudi reklo da utakmica američkog nogometa nikoga neće zanimati. Reći ću vam da smo već do sada prodali on line skoro tisuću ulaznica, a gdje još kraj kolovoza.

Usporedbe radi, lani smo za utakmice s Dinamom i Hajdukom u 1.HNL prodali gotovo nula karata on line prodajom. Nije to samo događaj za Šibenik, već za cijelu Dalmaciju, znam da će i puno ljudi iz Zagreba doći na tu utakmicu.

Infrastruktura nije problem, mi smo spremni preurediti Šubićevac za takav spektakl, koji ne obuhvaća samo utakmicu. To je čitav event, popratni sadržaji, fan zone, koncerti.

Ne sumnjamo da će biti 4- 5 tisuća navijača, ako bude interesa i za još toliko, ja bih bio najsretniji čovjek. Montirat ćemo dodatne tribine, sve će biti tip top, tv signal ide u 20 zemalja diljem Europe i SAD-a.

Ako vidimo da je to palo na plodno tlo, idemo dalje. Ja vjerujem u taj projekt, koji je zaživio u Njemačkoj. NFL je došao u Englesku, u Njemačku, a na ovim našim prostorima, pritom ne mislim samo na Hrvatsku već na čitav ovaj prostor regije, ima puno potencijala za taj sport.

U našoj ELF ligi već sada ima 30-40 igrača s ovih prostora, i to je potencijalna baza da krenemo dalje s nekim projektima, za koji imamo ideju, ali i interes- kazao je Karajica.

Za ljetni spektakl u Šibeniku već ‘planulo‘ tisuću karata: ‘Reći ću vam kako je išla prodaja za Hajduk i Dinamo...‘

Osim nogometa,  poslovni interesi Željka Karajice, većinskog vlasnika HNK Šibenika, vezani su i za američki nogomet. Karajica je vlasnik licence i izvršni direktor američkog nogometa za Europu (ELF), vlasnik je Hamburg Devilsa koji se natječe u toj ligi.

Nedavno ste izazvali silne reakcije najavom odigravanja jedne utakmice ELF-a u Hrvatskoj, u Šibeniku na Šubićevcu. Najavili ste tada da se krajem kolovoza na utakmici Hamburg Sea Devilsa i Madrid Bravosa očekuje čak do 10 tisuća gledatelja! Kako teku pripreme za taj spektakl, i kako se došli do ideje da baš Šibenik bude domaćin tog nesumnjivo velikog sportskog događaja za grad, ali i Hrvatsku?

- Uvijek kada u nešto krećete treba imati ideju. Tako sam i ja imao kada sam ulazio u cijelu tu priču s američkim nogometom. Mnogi ljudi iz sporta, čak i poznati novinari koji prate sport u Njemačkoj su me pitali što će ti to, zar je baš tebe dopalo da 70 godina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata dovedeš američki nogomet na tlo Europe, i slično.

Prije tri godine je to bilo nezamislivo, ali sada imamo jaku ligu, u kojoj igraju klubovi iz velikih europskih gradova, stadioni su puni, medijska pažnja, ugovori…

Prije 25-30 godina nitko nije znao za mobitel, do prije 15 godina za Instagram, ali to je sada dio naše svakodnevice.
