U NASA-inom svemirskom centru Kennedy u Cape Canaveralu na Floridi sve je bilo spremno za lansiranje kapsule Crew Dragon kompanije SpaceX koja je na Međunarodnu svemirsku stanicu (ISS) trebala prevesti dvojicu NASA-inih astronauta Douga Hurleyja i Boba Behnkena , no stvari se nisu odvile po planu. Lansiranje letjelice Crew Dragon bilo je planirano u 22 sata i 33 minute prema našem vremenu, no omele su ga meterološke prilike, prenosi Jutarnji list .
U 22 sata i 18 minuta odgođeno je lansiranje SpaceX-a zbog lošeg vremena, a novi pokušaj bit će u subotu u 15 sati i 22 minute po lokalnom vremenu.
Da su vremenske prilike dopustile, bio bi to prvi let astronauta na ISS u američkom svemirskom brodu u posljednjih devet godina. Podsjetimo, od 2011. godine, kada je umirovljen Space Shuttle, prijevoz astronauta na ISS odvijao se isključivo ruskim svemirskim brodom Sojuz s kozmodroma u Kazahstanu.
Koliko je za SAD važan današnji dan, najbolje govori da su u Cape Canaveral doputovali američki predsjednik Donald Trump i potpredsjednik Mike Pence. Uspješna misija bila bi ostvarenje glavnog cilja NASA-e kako ga je formulirao šef agencije Jim Bridenstine, ponovno slanje u svemir "američkih astronauta na američkoj raketi s američkog tla".

Nadalje, ovo je prvi let astronauta na ISS letjelicom koja je vlasništvo privatne kompanije. Letjelica Crew Dragon modificirana je verzija kapsule Dragon kojom kompanija SpaceX u vlasništvu Elona Muska već godinama prevozi teret na ISS.
- U ožujku prošle godine 'Crew Dragon' je uspješno izveo svoj prvi pokusni let bez posade, spojio se s Međunarodnom svemirskom postajom i poslije 6 dana leta spustio se na vode Atlantika. Sada slijedi pokusni let s posadom. SpaceX je razvio raketu i svemirski brod prema ugovorima s agencijom NASA, na osnovu objavljenih natječaja.
NASA je izabrala dvije tvrtke za razvoj svemirskog broda. Druga tvrtka je Boeing čiji je 'CST-100 Starliner' u prosincu imao pokusni let prilikom kojeg je letio dva dana u orbiti oko Zemlje, ali nije uspio stići do svemirske postaje no sretno se vratio na Zemlju (on se spušta na čvrsto tlo). Zato 'Starliner' mora ići na popravni i obaviti još jedan pokusni let bez posade, napisao je na Facebooku Ante Radonić , poznati popularizator astronomije i svemirskih letova.
- Crew Dragon je nevjerojatna letjelica. To definitivno nije space shuttle, mnogo je manja. To je kapsula, najsuvremenija s tehnološkog stajališta i jako smo uzbuđeni - rekao je astronaut Doug Hurley (53) za BBC.
Iskusni NASA-in astronaut Hurley bio je i na posljednjem letu space shuttlea Atlantis u srpnju 2011. godine. Hurley je oženjen bivšom astronautkinjom Karen Nyberg, a imaju jednog sina. Bob Behnken (49), također, ima iskustva u letu space shuttleom, a u svemiru je boravio ukupno 708 sati. I on je oženjen bivšom astronautkinjom, Megan McArthur.
Dvojica astronauta dovezla su se bijelim automobilom Tesla Model X SUV (na kojem je logo NASA-e) do lansirne rampe '39A', mjesta s kojeg su polijetali svemirski brodovi Apollo i Space Shuttle. Registarska tablica auta je: 'ISSBND' (što znači: ISS Bound).

Podrijetlom iz Južne Afrike, Elon Musk (48) suosnivač je kompanije PayPal za novčane usluge putem interneta, osnivač kompanije Tesla Motors koja proizvodi električne automobile, čelni čovjek SolarCityja, najveće američke kompanije za pružanje usluga vezanih uz proizvodnju, distribuciju i instalaciju sustava solarne energije, te još nekih kompanija.
No, od djetinjstva je fasciniran osvajanjem svemira pa je 2002. godine osnovao svemirsku kompaniju SpaceX. Od toga vremena kompanija radi na razvoju raketa Falcon za višekratnu uporabu i svemirskih letjelica Dragon. No, Muskov pravi cilj je Mars o čijoj kolonizaciji mašta od djetinjstva.
- Povijest se račva u dva pravca. Jedan put je da zauvijek ostanemo na Zemlji gdje ćemo naposljetku izumrijeti. Nemam neko neposredno proročanstvo sudnjeg dana, ali naposljetku, kako nas povijest uči, takav će se događaj zbiti. Alternativa je da postanemo civilizacija koja putuje svemirom i multiplanarna vrsta, što je, nadam se da se slažete, pravi put, napisao je Musk u svom eseju 'Making Humans a Multi-Planetary Species'.

Lansiranje letjelice Crew Dragon bilo je planirano u 22 sata i 33 minute prema našem vremenu, no omele su ga meterološke prilike, prenosi Jutarnji list .
U 22 sata i 18 minuta odgođeno je lansiranje SpaceX-a zbog lošeg vremena, a novi pokušaj bit će u subotu u 15 sati i 22 minute po lokalnom vremenu.
Da su vremenske prilike dopustile, bio bi to prvi let astronauta na ISS u američkom svemirskom brodu u posljednjih devet godina. Podsjetimo, od 2011. godine, kada je umirovljen Space Shuttle, prijevoz astronauta na ISS odvijao se isključivo ruskim svemirskim brodom Sojuz s kozmodroma u Kazahstanu.
Koliko je za SAD važan današnji dan, najbolje govori da su u Cape Canaveral doputovali američki predsjednik Donald Trump i potpredsjednik Mike Pence. Uspješna misija bila bi ostvarenje glavnog cilja NASA-e kako ga je formulirao šef agencije Jim Bridenstine, ponovno slanje u svemir "američkih astronauta na američkoj raketi s američkog tla".

Nadalje, ovo je prvi let astronauta na ISS letjelicom koja je vlasništvo privatne kompanije. Letjelica Crew Dragon modificirana je verzija kapsule Dragon kojom kompanija SpaceX u vlasništvu Elona Muska već godinama prevozi teret na ISS.
- U ožujku prošle godine 'Crew Dragon' je uspješno izveo svoj prvi pokusni let bez posade, spojio se s Međunarodnom svemirskom postajom i poslije 6 dana leta spustio se na vode Atlantika. Sada slijedi pokusni let s posadom. SpaceX je razvio raketu i svemirski brod prema ugovorima s agencijom NASA, na osnovu objavljenih natječaja.
NASA je izabrala dvije tvrtke za razvoj svemirskog broda. Druga tvrtka je Boeing čiji je 'CST-100 Starliner' u prosincu imao pokusni let prilikom kojeg je letio dva dana u orbiti oko Zemlje, ali nije uspio stići do svemirske postaje no sretno se vratio na Zemlju (on se spušta na čvrsto tlo). Zato 'Starliner' mora ići na popravni i obaviti još jedan pokusni let bez posade, napisao je na Facebooku Ante Radonić , poznati popularizator astronomije i svemirskih letova.
- Crew Dragon je nevjerojatna letjelica. To definitivno nije space shuttle, mnogo je manja. To je kapsula, najsuvremenija s tehnološkog stajališta i jako smo uzbuđeni - rekao je astronaut Doug Hurley (53) za BBC.
Iskusni NASA-in astronaut Hurley bio je i na posljednjem letu space shuttlea Atlantis u srpnju 2011. godine. Hurley je oženjen bivšom astronautkinjom Karen Nyberg, a imaju jednog sina. Bob Behnken (49), također, ima iskustva u letu space shuttleom, a u svemiru je boravio ukupno 708 sati. I on je oženjen bivšom astronautkinjom, Megan McArthur.
Dvojica astronauta dovezla su se bijelim automobilom Tesla Model X SUV (na kojem je logo NASA-e) do lansirne rampe '39A', mjesta s kojeg su polijetali svemirski brodovi Apollo i Space Shuttle. Registarska tablica auta je: 'ISSBND' (što znači: ISS Bound).

No, od djetinjstva je fasciniran osvajanjem svemira pa je 2002. godine osnovao svemirsku kompaniju SpaceX. Od toga vremena kompanija radi na razvoju raketa Falcon za višekratnu uporabu i svemirskih letjelica Dragon. No, Muskov pravi cilj je Mars o čijoj kolonizaciji mašta od djetinjstva.
- Povijest se račva u dva pravca. Jedan put je da zauvijek ostanemo na Zemlji gdje ćemo naposljetku izumrijeti. Nemam neko neposredno proročanstvo sudnjeg dana, ali naposljetku, kako nas povijest uči, takav će se događaj zbiti.
