Huma Abedin, dugogodišnja asistentica Hillary Clinton, optužila je jednog američkog senatora za seksualno napastovanje, piše Jutranji list.
Naime, Abedin je u memoarima, koje je nazvala "Both/And:A Life in Many Worlds", otkrila da je doživjela seksualno napastovanje te je rekla da je počinitelj bio jedan američki senator, no nije navela niti njegovo ime niti stranku čiji je član.

---Također je priznala da je taj incident potisnula, no sjećanje na nemili događaj se, tvrdi, vratilo tijekom skandala vezanog za tadašnjeg kandidata za suca Vrhovnog suda Bretta Kavanaugha.
Abedin je u svojoj knjizi opisala napad koji je navodno doživjela dok je radila za Clinton, koja je tada bila senatorica savezne države New York.
Odlomak u kojem opisuje navedeno traumatično iskustvo slijedi nakon priče o vjenčanju Donalda Trumpa i njegove treće žene Melanije Knauss u Palm Beachu, na koje je Abedin došla s Clinton.
U spornom odlomku Abedin opisuje jednu večeru u Washingtonu, kojoj nije prisustvovala senatorica Clinton.
- Nakon večere sam šetala s jednim od senatora. Ubrzo smo stali i on me pozvao na kavu u svoj stan. Kada smo ušli u stan, rekao mi je da se udobno smjestim na kauč - nastavlja Abedin te dodaje da je senator skinuo sako te uz razgovor počeo pripremati kavu.
No, ugodna atmosfera se promijenila u trenu.
- Sjeo je kraj mene, stavio ruku na moja ramena, poljubio me i gurnuo na kauč. Bila sam šokirana. Odgurnula sam ga. Htjela sam samo zaboraviti da se tih 10 sekundi dogodilo - rekla je Abedin.

Senator je bio iznenađen njenom reakcijom, momentalno se ispričao i rekao da je krivo interpretirao njeno ponašanje.
Nakon toga ju je pitao želi li ostati ili otići, a ona je samo rekla da joj je žao i, što je nonšalantnije mogla, izašla iz stana.
Nakon incidenta ga je izbjegavala, a kada ga je srela na Capitol Hillu, pitao ju je jesu li i dalje prijatelji, na što je ona odgovorila potvrdno. U tom im se trenu pridružila Clinton, koja nije znala ništa o spornom događaju.

---U godinama koje su uslijedile Abedin je to iskustvo potisnula, a prema senatoru se nastavila prijateljski ophoditi.
Sjećanja na taj događaj su je ponovno preplavila 2018. godine kada je profesorica Christine Blasey Ford optužila suca Kavanaugha za seksualni napad, koji je on porekao.
Abedin kaže da se svoje situacije sjetila kada je pročitala kako Blasey Ford optužuju da se "napada sjetila u oportuno vrijeme".

Naime, Abedin je u memoarima, koje je nazvala "Both/And:A Life in Many Worlds", otkrila da je doživjela seksualno napastovanje te je rekla da je počinitelj bio jedan američki senator, no nije navela niti njegovo ime niti stranku čiji je član.

---Također je priznala da je taj incident potisnula, no sjećanje na nemili događaj se, tvrdi, vratilo tijekom skandala vezanog za tadašnjeg kandidata za suca Vrhovnog suda Bretta Kavanaugha.
Abedin je u svojoj knjizi opisala napad koji je navodno doživjela dok je radila za Clinton, koja je tada bila senatorica savezne države New York.
Odlomak u kojem opisuje navedeno traumatično iskustvo slijedi nakon priče o vjenčanju Donalda Trumpa i njegove treće žene Melanije Knauss u Palm Beachu, na koje je Abedin došla s Clinton.
U spornom odlomku Abedin opisuje jednu večeru u Washingtonu, kojoj nije prisustvovala senatorica Clinton.
- Nakon večere sam šetala s jednim od senatora. Ubrzo smo stali i on me pozvao na kavu u svoj stan. Kada smo ušli u stan, rekao mi je da se udobno smjestim na kauč - nastavlja Abedin te dodaje da je senator skinuo sako te uz razgovor počeo pripremati kavu.
