- Manjak uličica sa ženskim imenima može se povezati s time da se imena ulica dobivaju prema postignućima poznatih osoba, no kako u Hrvatskoj žene najčešće nisu na vodećim funkcijama i najčešće imaju mogućnost napredovanja samo do određene točke po principu tzv. staklenog stropa, tako i nema toliko žena po kojima bi se ulice mogle nazvati – dijagnosticirao je Vlaho Kovačević s Odsjeka za sociologiju Sveučilišta u Splitu problem slabe zastupljenosti žena u nazivlju ulica u Dubrovniku, ali i diljem Hrvatske. ‘Stakleni strop’ inače je pojam koji se koristi kad se govori o sprječavanju napredovanja žena na više hijerarhijske razine na radnom mjestu ili u društvu.

U Dubrovniku ni ove ni prošle godine nije bilo izmjena naziva ulica. Broj onih koje nose ženska imena ustalio se na pet, a ‘nositeljice’ su Anica Bošković, Cvijeta Zuzorić, Flora Jakšić, Nikica Zec i dr. Kathleen V. Wilkes. Manjak ženskih imena na popisu ulica iznenadio je i Marka Potrebicu, predsjednika dubrovačkog Gradskog vijeća:

- Priznajem da sam zatečen tako malom zastupljenošću. A kandidatkinja koje zaslužuju ulicu ne fali među ženama iz dalje i bliže prošlosti. Primjerice, gospođa Beba Beritić, velika zaštitnica baštine ili prva blaženica sestra Marija Propetog Isusa Petković sigurno zaslužuju ulicu. Svatko od gradskih vijećnika i građana uz adekvatno obrazloženje može izaći s prijedlogom pred Odbor za imenovanja ulica i trgova, jedino je problematično to što kad nekome ‘dajete’ ulicu, drugom je treba ‘oduzeti’. No, i tome se može doskočiti. Po gradu je još dosta nerazvrstanih ulica koje bi se mogle nazvati prema zaslužnim ženama – smatra Marko Potrebica.

- Slabu zastupljenost žena vidimo koju god problematiku da taknemo. Uvijek je postojao i postoji nesrazmjer. I to je nekako razumljivo kroz prošlost jer žene nisu imale velike uloge ali samo zato što nisu imale priliku biti uspješne ili uspješnije od muškaraca. Znamo da nisu imale mogućnost školovanja, ni političkog angažmana, ni prava glasa niti ista prava kao muškarci. Ali danas imamo mnogo žena na istaknutim pozicijama, i u politici i zdravstvu i znanosti i sudstvu i obrazovanju, sve više i u privatnom poduzetništvu. U mom radu u Deši kontinuirano se susrećem s mnoštvom “malih, običnih”, a tako velikih i srčanih žena koje ruše brane i čine nemoguće da u ovim nesmiljenim uvjetima života osiguraju bolji život sebi i svojoj djeci i uz to još pomažu i drugima oko sebe – zaključila je Cvjetković.

Poražavajuća statistika

Nisu samo ulice u Dubrovniku i ostatku Lijepe naše primjer muške dominacije. Dubrovačke škole imaju ili geografska ili redom muška imena (Getaldić, Držić, Gundulić...). U Hrvatskoj tek 5 gradova ima 5 posto ili nešto više ulica nazvanih po ženama. Više od polovice ih ima 2 posto, a 11 nijednu. Od toga najviše ulica nosi ime Ivane Brlić Mažuranić i Marije Jurić Zagorke, a ponegdje se nađe i ulica s imenima svetica.

- Manjak uličica sa ženskim imenima može se povezati s time da se imena ulica dobivaju prema postignućima poznatih osoba, no kako u Hrvatskoj žene najčešće nisu na vodećim funkcijama i najčešće imaju mogućnost napredovanja samo do određene točke po principu tzv. staklenog stropa, tako i nema toliko žena po kojima bi se ulice mogle nazvati – dijagnosticirao je Vlaho Kovačević s Odsjeka za sociologiju Sveučilišta u Splitu problem slabe zastupljenosti žena u nazivlju ulica u Dubrovniku, ali i diljem Hrvatske. ‘Stakleni strop’ inače je pojam koji se koristi kad se govori o sprječavanju napredovanja žena na više hijerarhijske razine na radnom mjestu ili u društvu.

Kvintet se ne da

U Dubrovniku ni ove ni prošle godine nije bilo izmjena naziva ulica. Broj onih koje nose ženska imena ustalio se na pet, a ‘nositeljice’ su Anica Bošković, Cvijeta Zuzorić, Flora Jakšić, Nikica Zec i dr. Kathleen V. Wilkes. Manjak ženskih imena na popisu ulica iznenadio je i Marka Potrebicu, predsjednika dubrovačkog Gradskog vijeća:

- Priznajem da sam zatečen tako malom zastupljenošću. A kandidatkinja koje zaslužuju ulicu ne fali među ženama iz dalje i bliže prošlosti. Primjerice, gospođa Beba Beritić, velika zaštitnica baštine ili prva blaženica sestra Marija Propetog Isusa Petković sigurno zaslužuju ulicu. Svatko od gradskih vijećnika i građana uz adekvatno obrazloženje može izaći s prijedlogom pred Odbor za imenovanja ulica i trgova, jedino je problematično to što kad nekome ‘dajete’ ulicu, drugom je treba ‘oduzeti’. No, i tome se može doskočiti. Po gradu je još dosta nerazvrstanih ulica koje bi se mogle nazvati prema zaslužnim ženama – smatra Marko Potrebica.

Male, obične, vrijedne

- Slabu zastupljenost žena vidimo koju god problematiku da taknemo. Uvijek je postojao i postoji nesrazmjer. I to je nekako razumljivo kroz prošlost jer žene nisu imale velike uloge ali samo zato što nisu imale priliku biti uspješne ili uspješnije od muškaraca. Znamo da nisu imale mogućnost školovanja, ni političkog angažmana, ni prava glasa niti ista prava kao muškarci. Ali danas imamo mnogo žena na istaknutim pozicijama, i u politici i zdravstvu i znanosti i sudstvu i obrazovanju, sve više i u privatnom poduzetništvu. U mom radu u Deši kontinuirano se susrećem s mnoštvom “malih, običnih”, a tako velikih i srčanih žena koje ruše brane i čine nemoguće da u ovim nesmiljenim uvjetima života osiguraju bolji život sebi i svojoj djeci i uz to još pomažu i drugima oko sebe – zaključila je Cvjetković.

Poražavajuća statistika

Nisu samo ulice u Dubrovniku i ostatku Lijepe naše primjer muške dominacije. Dubrovačke škole imaju ili geografska ili redom muška imena (Getaldić, Držić, Gundulić...). U Hrvatskoj tek 5 gradova ima 5 posto ili nešto više ulica nazvanih po ženama. Više od polovice ih ima 2 posto, a 11 nijednu. Od toga najviše ulica nosi ime Ivane Brlić Mažuranić i Marije Jurić Zagorke, a ponegdje se nađe i ulica s imenima svetica.
